Heel Pain/Spur

The most common cause of heel pain comes from a biomechanical imbalance in foot structure that can be place too much stress on the heel bone and the soft tissue around it.

What causes plantar fasciitis ?

Plantar fasciitis, also known as "heel spur syndrome" is an inflammation of the band of connective tissue that runs from the heel bone to the ball of the foot. It can be caused by:

  • inherited muscle and bone problems (flat feet or excessively high arches)
  • heel injury or bruising
  • poorly fitted or worn-out shoes
  • excessive weight
